Lets FIFA 09

Hey guys,
Based on our little poll we did earlier this month it seems the majority of GO TXT users would like to see more content related to gaming.

So I thought I would give you some food for thought and review one of my recently purchased games, FIFA 09. Over the past few years there have only been two real variations when it comes to the popular football gaming market, FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. Now while some may argue that PES had recently beaten FIFA into submission over the past few years, little can argue that FIFA's newest title, FIFA 09 bucks the trend and in my opinion well in truly puts PES in its place.

Graphically, FIFA 09 is brilliant with all the players generally quite similar to there real life counter parts. And the environmental effects just add so much atmosphere to the games far out passing in my beliefs that of PES. When it rains the ball is hard to play along the ground often skidding or just stopping dead in its tracks, it really adds depth to the game and makes the player review his approach to the match.

The game just flows really well from shooting to tackling it just feels fantastic, the players running styles are however a little uncouth and awkward it is quickly forgotten amongst the quick paced play. And no matter how many times you do it slide tackling an opposition player and watching them go sprawling into the air just never gets old, especially when they dont even have the ball.

FIFA 09's new celebration ability also adds to the endless fun the game provides allowing you to rub in that brilliant goal just that little bit more into your opponents face, with celebrations ranging from the robot to the simple cartwheel you will never have to repeat the same one in a match.

Now there's two sides to the fence and no doubt there's some PES fans that disagree, if so feel free to start a discussion up in the forum, and get a discussion going.

An update

Just a quick update to let you all know that the new credit-offers system is up and running. The old one was a bit of a (big) headache, so fingers crossed this new method makes things easier for everyone. Go visit and get more credit

We've also included the option for you all to invite your friends to GO TXT by visiting the invitations page. We hope you all enjoy the site enough to spread the word around a bit more.

Welcome back

Welcome to the newest production of GO TXT with a new shiny wrapper and everything, as you can see the site has somewhat changed in appearance and purpose. We now have a new look to our home page, and user pages amongst other things yet to come. The team here at GO TXT are shifting the focus of the site, we want to build a community around GO TXT, a fun vibrant community where people want to continue coming back. But for this to be a success we need you guys to be the driving force, in essence GO TXT wants you!

So what can you do as part of the GO TXT community? well it can be as simple or as extravagant as you like.

Firstly get active in the forum , by posting regularly, it doesn't have to be about the site or TXTing, if you guys want a new forum category shoot us an email and we'll be happy to oblige.

If you've got artwork to share we want to see it, post your works on the site or email a copy to us and we'll look into including it, we are particularly interested in cartoon strips to be featured on the front page at regular intervals. Not to mention the need for cool avatars, now that we have our new avatar system up and running.

So you may be asking yourself whats in it for you?

This is big and has the potential to revolutionise the way GO TXT operates, by becoming part of it at such an early stage you will reap the rewards now and definitely into the future. Rewards in the form of importance within the community and being able to discuss topics in a community based forum. And of course there's always the free TXTing.

So be part of something meaningful get involved get your friends involved and have fun.

Hey everyone welcome to the revamped GO TXT, I'm your new friendly neighbourhood adimn.
As the username suggests just call me Barnesy, i'll be part of the team managing GO TXT, and where really quite excited about the sites future prospects. There are several major ideas currently under way, and we look forward to bringing them to you shortly so watch this space.
